MMA provides a comprehensive range of Human Resources support to enable organizations to achieve their goals. The essence of this service is the confidential and bespoke relationship that is created from the outset. Whilst operating to a clear methodology, the support remains flexible, taking into account the needs and aspirations of the organization, as well as the budgetary requirements.
Occupational Psychologists are available to provide support as necessary. Our team are qualified to undertake a wide range of assessments e.g., to identify strengths and development needs for individuals and groups, or, even as part of recruitment campaign to assess candidates competencies, such as, handling stress or team working that are difficult to identify at interview.
Redundancy, alongside bereavement and moving house, is considered to be possibly one of the most stressful experiences in life. However, with the benefit of outplacement support to help those affected, change can often, ultimately, be viewed in a positive light. MMA provides support on either a 1:1 or group workshop basis.
The support programmes are tailor-made to meet the needs of the organization and the client. The 1:1 programme is designed around a core number of consultant hours, which could be for example 3, 6, 10 or 20 hours, depending upon organisational budgets and client needs.
MMA also runs group workshops for up to 10 participants at a time, to help them with handling change, exploring job search strategies, self marketing, producing an effective CV, applying for jobs, coping with interviews and campaign management. The group sizes are intentionally small to ensure that each delegate gains the maximum benefit from the interactive workshop.
At a time of change it is often appropriate to take a few moments to reflect on what has happened; explore the options for the future and establish a plan of campaign with the benefit of advice and guidance from one of our experienced consultants.
The priority for some individuals will be to get a job as soon as possible. There are a number of job search methods that can be used and the most appropriate for a particular situation will be identified. It could be a combination of; contacting recruitment consultants, speculative approaches, networking, monitoring recruitment websites, press advertisements etc., or considering other options such as self employment, starting a business, taking up a franchise or even interim management.

People generally are suspicious of change, particularly when it is sudden and outside of their control. They may feel insecure or even threatened as a result. If employers attempt to impose change on their staff these emotions may be followed by intense resistance. Communication is therefore a key issue when planning and initiating any change programme. In this situation MMA has the expertise to help employers and employees manage the process effectively.
Our Pre-Retirement service can be tailored to provide 1:1 support or group workshops as necessary. The programmes focus on a range of issues including; the effects of retirement upon the family, finances and health; exploring possible employment options and planning for the future.
