| Interview Skills for Internal Applications | 1 Hour |
| Best Use of Opportunity | 1 Hour |
Some time can be allocated to an Occupational Psychologist for psychometric assessment if required.
MMA prefers to take a number of hours approach to the programmes as each individual works at a different pace and this way we can accommodate their preferences and either provide intensive short-term assistance, or, spread the support over a period of time as required.
The Job Search programme can take the form of a number of interlinked counselling modules, including core skills training delivered in one to one sessions. The modules could involve:
Career Change can be a half-day or full day programme depending upon support requirements.
A One-Day intensive programme exploring career options with one of our Occupational Psychologists is usually split into 2 sessions: Diagnostic and Feedback.
The first session begins with a discussion concerning the client’s current circumstances and views, including setting of objectives for the day. This is followed by a series of psychometric assessments and exercises. These are geared towards meeting each client’s objectives and providing them with information on which to base career decisions and develop action plans.
The general areas covered during the assessment process encompass:
Whilst the client is spending time reflecting upon the activities of the morning, the consultant reviews the results. There follows an in-depth feedback session with the client which includes exploring possible career options and establishing goals.
The ideal scenario of a One-Day programme, as outlined above, can be split and delivered over a longer period if required; however, experience suggests that for maximum benefit feedback should be given on the same day as the tests are taken.
Please Note: The results of both Career Change diagnostic and feedback sessions remain confidential between the psychologist and the client, unless otherwise agreed both parties.
